invasion 2014

The work took place in an old building that, according to the rumors, was used as a weapon depot by the Hagannah (the pre-State Jewish defense organization) and as an iron foundry that produced the "Davidka" mortars. 50 years went by. Age disintegrated between the fingers. Dust and grease, asbestos and human feces. The work deals with the memory of site and dialogue between man and woman; between permission and agreement and taking by force and deceit. 

 Worked with  Yaniv Amar  as a team (Duo), We discuss, write, argue, and collaborate on the creation of complex installations in abandoned and run-down locations. We address the histories of the specific locations that we choose, while inserting into our work a wide range of social, environmental, philosophical, religious, communication and gender-related issues.

Large areas were flooded with "milk and semen". In every war and occupation there is rape. Rape of the land, of the place, of the life to come. The weak does not survive for the weak who follows. Female rape male rape.

It all applies. All of Israel and every Israeli knows well what invasion means. They know the feeling of "invade or be invaded". 

For us life and art have no boundaries between them theyare totally incorporated within each other. We are total and committedOur chosen medium of site specific projects, as well as working as a Duo, brings a lot pressure with it,both psychologically and for the senses. Our own personal "pressure-cooker" raises many questions are answered through our creative process. For us it is not enough to see art on a nice white wall. We need and our purpose is to take the viewer inside the world of questions and answers that we create. We aim to stimulate and irritate the senses
